Vincent Lafazia

Master carpenter and craftsman, Vincent Lafazia has over 40 years of experience in the building trades and woodworking. His work experiences have given him exposure to Renaissance art, color studies, decorative arts (guilding, faux painting, and Venetian Plaster), and restoration work (fine art and architectural).  His primary focus for the past 15 years has been cabinetry, custom-made furniture, and detailed woodworking.  Graced with the curiosity of a child, Vincent views each project as a new adventure.

With a keen eye for design, his goal is to attain the right equilibrium between form and function, art and craft — whether building custom cabinets, restoring a historical piece, or applying a decorative finish to an architectural feature. His unique, original designs blend old world artistry with contemporary aesthetics.

Collaboration is a vital part of Vincent’s process because he wants to create pieces that are uniquely personal and relevant to each client’s space and lifestyle.

FURNITURE IS AN EXTENSION OF WHO YOU ARE

For many reasons the world of furniture has drastically changed in the last 50 years, not just styles, but essential construction. Large production increasingly imposes limits on sizing and details but most importantly on quality. Custom-building is an unknown option for many people but one of the best markets today for durable quality that is also personal and reasonably priced. A good custom builder is just as curious about you and what you really want as about his/her own processes.
